In the Open category, Jean Tabone progressed to the last 32, George Ebejer reached the barrage stage, and Spencer Conti exited the competition at the group phase.
The team competition also saw Maltese representation, with Bormla SC advancing to the last 16. The Bormla squad was made up of Charlie Aquilina, George Ebejer, Jason Pisani, Jean Tabone, David Gonzalez and Bessim Golger.
Meanwhile, ST Stembert, represented by John Zammit, enjoyed a strong run to the quarter-finals, while Spencer Conti’s team, Reggio Calabria, reached the last 16.
The participation of Maltese athletes in international competitions continues to be made possible through the support of SportMalta and the Malta Olympic Committee, whose assistance remains crucial in enabling local players to gain valuable exposure on the international stage.
