Bormla Subbuteo Club triumph at Austrian Golden Grand Prix

Bormla Subbuteo Club enjoyed an outstanding campaign at the Austrian Golden Grand Prix after winning the team competition in impressive fashion.
Bormla won all their matches in Group A, beginning with a commanding 4-0 victory over Sparta Berlin. They then defeated Italy’s Sombrero 2-0 before completing the group stage with a 3-1 win against Austrian side TSC Phoenix.
In the semi-finals, the Maltese side continued their dominant run by beating German club BSC Schwalbach 4-0. They then secured the title with a 2-0 victory over Austrian outfit Royal Kaishermuhlen in the final.
Meanwhile, George Ebejer emerged victorious in the Open category after overcoming Italy’s Gabriele Silveri 2-1 in the final. Earlier, Ebejer had produced an impressive 6-2 semi-final win against Daniel Vronovitz.
Another Bormla player to reach the semi-finals was Cristian Haas.
Alongside Ebejer and Haas, the Bormla squad also included Jason Pisani and Josef Camilleri.
The team’s next commitment will be the Major of Mallorca in Spain.
