Sirens C&J Bonavia claimed the Women’s Super Cup 2026 after producing a dominant performance to defeat San Ġiljan ASC 18–13 in the final played on January 15.

Sirens set the early tempo, racing into a 4–1 lead in the opening quarter and maintaining control throughout the match. Their consistency across all four sessions proved decisive, as they gradually built on their advantage despite San Ġiljan’s determined resistance.

Elaya Montfort and Kaia Agius led the charge for Sirens, with Agius emerging as the match’s top scorer on five goals, while Montfort netted four times. Captain Martha Perici Ferrante and Chloe Amato also made vital contributions, each scoring three goals as Sirens kept up relentless attacking pressure.

San Ġiljan remained competitive, with Marie Rose Tully and captain Elena Borg both finding the net four times. Shanice Cassar added three goals and Thea Abdilla chipped in with two, but the Saints struggled to contain Sirens’ firepower at key moments.

By half-time, Sirens had opened up a 10–5 lead, giving themselves a solid platform. Although the third quarter was evenly contested, Sirens continued to dictate proceedings, and a strong final session ensured the trophy was safely secured.

The Super Cup triumph underlined Sirens C&J Bonavia’s depth and quality, rewarding a commanding display with silverware and providing an encouraging signal ahead of the new season.
