James Harden poured in 31 points and delivered in the clutch as the Los Angeles Clippers erased a double-digit deficit to secure a 121–117 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

Harden scored 16 of his points in the fourth quarter and overtime, leading the Clippers to their fifth consecutive win despite the absence of Kawhi Leonard, who sat out with a sprained right ankle.

Los Angeles trailed by 11 points entering the final period but mounted a strong comeback. Harden knocked down two free throws with 1:24 remaining in regulation to tie the game, and after both teams came up empty on their final possessions, the contest moved to overtime.

The veteran guard then took control in the extra session, opening overtime with four straight free throws and accounting for eight of the Clippers’ 12 points as they pulled away late.

Scottie Barnes led Toronto with 24 points, as seven Raptors finished in double figures in a balanced offensive effort.

The win was the Clippers’ 12th in their last 14 games and lifted them into 10th place in the Western Conference, strengthening their push toward the postseason after a difficult start to the campaign.

Elsewhere in the NBA, Evan Mobley threw down the game-winning dunk with 4.8 seconds remaining as the Cleveland Cavaliers edged the Philadelphia 76ers 117–115 on the road.

Three days after suffering a heavy defeat to Cleveland, the 76ers were unable to reverse the result despite leading by as many as 11 points with 8:47 left. Jaylon Tyson, making a rare start with Darius Garland and Sam Merrill sidelined, led all scorers with a career-high 39 points and set up Mobley for the decisive basket.

Mobley finished with 15 points, while Donovan Mitchell recorded 13 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists. Joel Embiid led Philadelphia with 33 points, and Tyrese Maxey added 22 but missed a half-court attempt at the buzzer.

In Brooklyn, the Nets nearly let a 20-point fourth-quarter lead slip but held on for a 112–109 victory over the Chicago Bulls, snapping a five-game losing streak.

Chicago, down 92–72 with 11:20 remaining, surged ahead 109–108 on Tre Jones’ fastbreak layup with 11.4 seconds to play. Michael Porter Jr. responded with a driving layup to restore Brooklyn’s lead, and Noah Clowney sealed the win with two free throws.

Porter Jr. led the Nets with 26 points, while Clowney added 23 points and 11 rebounds. Nikola Vučević topped the Bulls with 19 points.

“This is how a losing team becomes a winning team — learning how to close games like this,” Porter said. “We’re growing, we’re getting better, and that’s great.”
