Luxol Neo Group were crowned champions of the BOV Basketball Amateur League after completing a 3–0 series victory over Depiro Hoops in the best‑of‑five playoff final, confirming their status as the season’s standout team.

Luxol opened the best-of-five finals series with an emphatic statement, overpowering Depiro Hoops 93–57 in Game 1. Game 2 proved to be a far tighter contest, with momentum swinging back and forth before Luxol edged a dramatic 65–64 victory at the buzzer. The win gave Luxol a commanding 2–0 lead in the finals series.

The decisive match, played in front of an enthusiastic crowd, brought the curtain down on a highly competitive season and saw Luxol bring Depiro’s challenge to an end with a convincing 66-56 victory, sealing the championship in style.

The trophy presentation took place immediately after the final whistle and was led by Stefan Abela, Community Relations Manager at Bank of Valletta, together with Paul Sultana, President of the Malta Basketball Association.

Luxol’s Adam Azzopardi was also presented with the BOV Amateur League Finals MVP Trophy recognising the most outstanding performance of the playoff series.
