Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 31 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 119-103 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, helping the team bounce back after a loss in Minnesota on Friday.

The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player set the tone for the Thunder, delivering a morale-boosting performance. “We weren’t at our best tonight, but we did enough to win — we’ve still got to get better,” Gilgeous-Alexander told NBC.

Memphis started strong, briefly taking a seven-point lead in the first quarter, but Oklahoma City seized control in the second quarter. Gilgeous-Alexander received strong support from Jalen Williams, who added 24 points, while Ajay Mitchell chipped in 16 off the bench.

The Canadian star’s 31-point night extended his remarkable scoring streak. He has now scored 20 points or more in 100 consecutive games, becoming only the second player in NBA history to reach that milestone after Wilt Chamberlain. “My teammates let me shoot whatever shots I want out there,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. “The coaching staff trust me, and I put in the work to get better each and every day.”

The win improves Oklahoma City’s record to 26-3, keeping them atop the Western Conference. The Thunder face second-placed San Antonio on Tuesday.

Nuggets Dominate Jazz

Also on Monday, the Denver Nuggets continued their pursuit of Oklahoma City with a 135-112 victory over the Utah Jazz in Colorado. Denver led from start to finish, with Nikola Jokic recording 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 assists for his 14th triple-double of the season and the 178th of his career — trailing only Oscar Robertson (181) and Russell Westbrook (207) for all-time triple-doubles.

Jamal Murray added 27 points, Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed 21 off the bench, and both Cameron Johnson and Peyton Watson scored 20 points each.

Celtics Extend Winning Streak

In the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to three games, defeating the Indiana Pacers 103-95. Indiana surged to a 20-point lead early in the third quarter, but Boston outscored them 60-34 in the second half to claim victory.

Jaylen Brown led the comeback, scoring 14 of his 31 points in the final period, helping the Celtics maintain third place in the East behind Detroit and the New York Knicks.
