San Ġiljan ASC secure major signing with Malta international Alec Fenech

San Ġiljan ASC have pulled off a significant transfer ahead of the upcoming season with the signing of Malta international Alec Fenech.
Fenech joins the Saints after developing through the youth system of rivals Neptunes and establishing himself as a regular member of the national team. Over the past few years, the 20-year-old has also gained valuable international experience, having played professionally in France and Hungary, before moving earlier this year to Steaua București in Romania — one of Europe’s top clubs competing in the LEN Euro Cup.
In a statement, the club said:
“San Ġiljan ASC is proud to announce the permanent signing of 20-year-old Alec Fenech ahead of the upcoming season. Despite his young age, Alec is already a well-established and experienced talent, having played not only in Malta, but also in France, Hungary, and currently with Steaua București in Romania – one of Europe’s leading clubs.”
The club added that Fenech has been part of all junior national team levels, distinguishing himself as one of the most promising players of his generation in Maltese waterpolo.
