Romelu Lukaku ruled out of Belgium friendlies against USA and Mexico

Romelu Lukaku has withdrawn from Belgium national football team’s upcoming World Cup warm-up matches against the United States men’s national soccer team and Mexico national football team.
The striker will not take part in the friendlies, dealing a setback to Belgium’s preparations ahead of the tournament.
Belgium are expected to adjust their squad as they continue their build-up to the World Cup without one of their key attacking players.
Romelu Lukaku has endured an injury-hit season, limiting his appearances for club side Napoli.
The striker has featured only sparingly due to ongoing fitness issues, affecting his continuity at club level.
His most recent appearance for Belgium national football team came in a 4-3 World Cup qualifying victory over Wales national football team in Brussels in June, a match in which he also found the net.
Since then, he has missed Belgium’s last six international fixtures as he continues his recovery and rehabilitation.
