Real Madrid Not Considering Vinicius Sale Despite Outburst

Vinicius Junior has dominated headlines since his fiery substitution during Real Madrid’s 2–1 victory over Barcelona in El Clásico on Sunday, sparking fresh speculation about his long-term future at the club.
The Brazilian’s frustration was on full display after manager Xabi Alonso decided to withdraw him in the second half, with television cameras catching the forward muttering: “Always me! I’m leaving the team! It’s better if I leave, I’m leaving.”
While his reaction reflected the intensity of the occasion, it also reignited rumours that his time in Madrid could be drawing to a dramatic close.
Reports in recent months suggested the club might be open to offers if no progress is made on a new deal. Vinicius’s current contract expires in 2026, leaving Real with a decision to make should negotiations continue to stall.
Despite the noise, club sources insist there are no plans to sell the 24-year-old, who remains central to Madrid’s ambitions this season.
Liverpool have been mentioned as a potential suitor, but insiders have dismissed such speculation as premature. The club is said to be downplaying the incident, and Vinicius is expected to meet with Alonso to clear the air.
Real officials are confident the situation can be resolved quickly, with both player and coach focused on maintaining momentum in La Liga, where Madrid are pushing to reclaim the title from Barcelona.
For now, no disciplinary action will be taken against Vinicius, and the club is trusting both parties to move on from the episode.
However, as the season unfolds, attention will inevitably return to how the relationship between the player and management develops — and whether Vinicius sees his long-term future continuing at the Santiago Bernabéu.
