Senglea Gunners finished the MAFA First Division season in second place after defeating Marsa St Michael 2-1 in a direct clash between the two sides.

Senglea Gunners registered an important 2-1 victory over Marsa St Michael in the battle for second place in the standings. It was the final match of the season for both teams, with the encounter proving to be an entertaining affair.

Senglea took the lead in the 15th minute when Ousman Jallow beat the Marsa goalkeeper. In the second half, the Cottonera side doubled their advantage before Marsa reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute through a penalty converted by Sabri El Mansar.

Valletta Stars St Dominic – Valletta St Paul’s 2-2

The capital city derby between Valletta Stars St Dominic and Valletta St Paul’s ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Ronnie Celeste starred for Birżebbuġa with four goals, while Karim Salman, Leon Rodriguez and Oussama Boutayeb also found the net.

Federico Della Gatta scored the only goal for Swieqi.

Naxxar Victorians – Attard Edex Kings 0-3

Attard Edex Kings secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Naxxar Victorians to finish the second phase of the Second Division level on points with Swieqi United AFC in second place.

Ikenna Okoro scored a brace for Attard, while Lucas Carvalho also got on the scoresheet.

The referee was Jean Pierre Sammut.

Ħamrun Sporting – Gudja Wanderers 0-2

Gudja Wanderers claimed their third win in this second phase of the championship after a 2-0 victory over Ħamrun Sporting.

After David Gregory Salinas Cassiani gave Gudja the lead in the 29th minute, Marco Bravo added another in the 54th minute.

The referee was Ray Tabone.

Ta’ Ġiorni Wanderers – Mqabba Albions 3-1

Ta’ Ġiorni Wanderers came from behind to defeat Mqabba Albions 3-1.

Johan Cassar had put Mqabba ahead, but in the second half Johan Zapata, Sean Gatt Baldacchino and Luke Taliana turned the game around for Ta’ Ġiorni.

The referee was Peter Abela.
