Żabbar St. Patrick Striker Mario Fontanella Named LifeStar Insurance MVP for April 2026
Italian striker Mario Fontanella has been officially named the LifeStar Insurance Most Valuable Player for April 2026, following a highly prolific month in the Maltese football circuit.
Fontanella secured the individual accolade after an impressive scoring run, netting six goals in five matches over the course of April. His standout performances during the month included two crucial braces: one in a high-scoring 3-3 draw against Tarxien Rainbows, and another in a commanding 3-0 victory over Hibernians.
The veteran forward was presented with the trophy by Jonathan Camilleri, CEO of LifeStar Insurance, ahead of Żabbar St. Patrick’s crucial Relegation Play-Out victory against Tarxien Rainbows on Sunday.
