Gżira United FC have continued to reshape their squad with a series of key player movements, confirming the departure of Jork Becerra and the arrivals of Mihajlo Stojanović and Neil Cassar as the club looks to strengthen ahead of the challenges to come.

The Maroons announced that they have reached a mutual agreement with Jork Becerra to terminate his contract. The club thanked the forward for his service and commitment during his time at Gżira United and wished him the very best in his future endeavours.

At the same time, Gżira United moved quickly to reinforce their squad, starting with the signing of 23-year-old Serbian central defender Mihajlo Stojanović. Known for his physical presence and strength, Stojanović arrives with extensive experience in the Serbian leagues and is expected to add solidity and leadership to the club’s defensive unit as they push towards their objectives this season.

Gżira United have also secured the services of 21-year-old Neil Cassar, who joins the club on a permanent transfer from Floriana FC. Cassar is regarded as a promising young talent and is already familiar with head coach Darren Abdilla, having worked under him last season. His arrival is expected to inject additional energy, determination and versatility into the squad.
