FA Trophy Round of 32 set for action-packed weekend

The FA Trophy returns this weekend with a full programme of Round of 32 fixtures, as teams from across Malta and Gozo turn their attention to knockout football and the race for a place in the next round of one of the country’s most prestigious cup competitions.
The Round of 32 will be played over Saturday 3 January and Sunday 4 January 2026, with matches scheduled at the Centenary Stadium, Tony Bezzina Stadium, Victor Tedesco Stadium and the Gozo Stadium.
The action gets underway on Saturday, when Pembroke Athleta face Valletta at the Centenary Stadium at 14:00. The same venue will then host Hibernians against Gudja United at 16:30, before St Andrews take on Gżira United in the evening at 19:00.
At the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Birkirkara welcome Gozo representatives S.K. Victoria Wanderers at 14:00, followed by an intriguing encounter between Floriana and Marsaxlokk at 16:15. Meanwhile, the Victor Tedesco Stadium will stage a 14:00 clash between Ħamrun Spartans and Victoria Hotspurs, with Tarxien Rainbows meeting Għajnsielem at 16:30. The day concludes with Sliema Wanderers locking horns with Swieqi United in a 19:00 kick-off.
The competition continues on Sunday, starting with Pietà Hotspurs against Mtarfa at the Centenary Stadium at 11:00. Żabbar St Patrick then face Xewkija Tigers at 13:30, followed by Żurrieq versus Kerċem Ajax at 16:00. Balzan round off the Centenary Stadium programme with an 18:30 fixture against Birżebbuġa St Peter’s.
Gozo Stadium will host Qala Saints against Mġarr United at 14:00, while the Victor Tedesco Stadium sees Marsa take on Naxxar Lions at 14:00, Mosta face Mqabba at 16:30, and Fgura United conclude the round with a 19:00 meeting against Santa Lucia.
With knockout football guaranteeing high stakes and no second chances, the FA Trophy Round of 32 promises an exciting weekend filled with intensity, surprises and decisive moments as teams look to keep their cup ambitions alive.
