GFA 2nd Division: Sannat Lions Go Top as Żebbuġ earn first win
Matchday 4 of the GFA BOV Gozo Football League 2nd Division delivered drama, goals, and an important shift in the standings as Sannat Lions moved top of the table, while Żebbuġ Rovers clinched their first victory of the campaign.

Żebbuġ Rovers secured their first three points of the season with a solid 2–0 win over Oratory Youths.
The match changed complexion in the 67th minute, when Oratory’s Christian Cardona was shown a straight red card, leaving his side with ten men for the remainder of the match.
Żebbuġ made their numerical advantage count, breaking the deadlock in the 79th minute through Haraan Hajazan Goncalves Barbosa. Deep into first-half added time, Jake Sacco doubled the lead, sealing the victory and giving Rovers a much-needed boost in the standings.

Sannat Lions FC 4–2 St Lawrence Spurs FC

In the day’s second fixture, Sannat Lions extended their unbeaten start with a thrilling 4–2 win over St Lawrence Spurs to move top of the division.
Sannat star Igor Nedeljkovic produced a standout performance, completing a hat-trick that proved decisive. He opened the scoring in the 13th minute, doubled the lead on 33 minutes, and later sealed the match in the 86th minute.
St Lawrence mounted an impressive comeback early in the second half, with Felipe Augusto De Oliveira scoring in the 46th minute before Gabriel Debrincat levelled at 2–2 just after the hour mark.
But Sannat responded strongly. Tristan Grech restored their advantage in the 71st minute, before Nedeljkovic struck again late on to complete the victory and keep Sannat firmly in title contention.
