Former Manchester United Captain Ashley Young Announces Retirement

Ipswich Town veteran Ashley Young has confirmed that he will retire from professional football at the end of the season.
The 40-year-old former Manchester United, Aston Villa and England wing-back has not featured for Ipswich since January.
Announcing his decision, Young said: “I am incredibly proud and fortunate to have achieved everything I have in my career.
“It’s not often you reflect on it while you are still playing, but I have lived my dream over the past 23 years.”
“It’s now time for me to reflect on what I’ve achieved, and the next few weeks and months will be about deciding what comes next.
“But that will come later. Right now, my full focus is on Saturday and helping this club reach its objective of getting back to the Premier League.”
