Manchester United Midfielder Kobbie Mainoo Signs New Five-Year Deal

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2031, reaffirming his long-term commitment to Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old earned a recall to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad last month following an impressive resurgence under interim manager Michael Carrick. Since the start of the year, Mainoo has become a key figure in the side, showcasing his development and consistency.
Previously earning around £25,000 per week, reports suggest his new deal will see his wages rise significantly to approximately £120,000 per week.
Mainoo has featured in all but one of Carrick’s 13 matches in charge, completing almost every minute across 12 of those games as he re-established himself after being sidelined under former manager Ruben Amorim.
The club confirmed the contract extension on Thursday afternoon, with the youngster also speaking about his ambitions as United push close to securing Champions League qualification.
“Manchester United has always been my home; this special club means everything to my family,” he said.
“I have grown up seeing the impact our club has on the city, and I embrace the responsibility that comes with wearing this shirt.”
“From The Cliff, to Littleton Road, to Carrington and ultimately Old Trafford, the journey so far has been incredible. I have the privilege of living my dream every day, and I still carry the same determination to succeed that I had when I first trained here at the age of six.
“We can all feel the momentum growing within the club. I am determined to play my part in helping Manchester United consistently compete for major trophies in the years to come.”
The England international had been in talks with club officials over the past three months, and the agreement will come as a boost to supporters, following Harry Maguire’s one-year extension earlier this month.
