Luka Doncic made a triumphant return with a triple-double, and LeBron James delivered in the clutch as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 112-108 on Sunday.

Doncic, who missed two games while in Slovenia for the birth of his second daughter, recorded 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists, adding two blocked shots for good measure. James, set to turn 41 later this month, scored 12 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter. He nailed a three-pointer and a jump shot to give the Lakers a five-point lead with 27.4 seconds left after the 76ers had tied the game at 105. Doncic added two free throws, and James’ late steal with three seconds remaining sealed the win.

“The end of a road trip, there can be a lot of tired legs,” James said. “I felt great… I had the opportunity with some pretty good legs to try to assert myself a little offensively.”

Tyrese Maxey led Philadelphia with 28 points, while Joel Embiid, James’ teammate from the U.S. Olympic gold-winning team, struggled, finishing with 16 points on 4-of-21 shooting.

Meanwhile, the NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a 131-101 victory over the Utah Jazz, extending their winning streak to 15 games despite missing MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with elbow bursitis. Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren scored 25 points apiece, and the Thunder led by as many as 42, equaling the franchise’s longest streak.

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray poured in 23 of his 34 points in the first quarter, helping Denver hold off the Charlotte Hornets 115-106. Three-time MVP Nikola Jokic flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 28 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists. Despite trailing 58-57 at halftime, Jokic scored 18 second-half points to pull the Nuggets away for their third consecutive win.

In Toronto, the Celtics survived a late Raptors surge, winning 121-113. Jaylen Brown scored 30 points, while Derrick White added 27. Boston led by 23 early in the third quarter, but Toronto clawed back to take a brief lead in the fourth. Back-to-back three-pointers from White and Payton Pritchard gave Boston the edge for good.

The New York Knicks overcame the Orlando Magic 106-100 behind Jalen Brunson’s 30 points and nine assists. OG Anunoby added 21 points, and Josh Hart posted a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. New York played without Karl-Anthony Towns, while the Magic were further hampered by an early exit from top scorer Franz Wagner due to a leg injury.

Jimmy Butler returned from injury to post 19 points, eight rebounds, and six assists as the Golden State Warriors dominated the Chicago Bulls 123-91. Despite the absence of stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, Brandin Podziemski contributed 21 points off the bench, and Quentin Post added 19 points, helping Golden State cruise to a wire-to-wire victory over a short-handed Bulls squad.
