It proved to be a pivotal week for Maltese futsal, with trophy commitments accompanied by a series of league matches that had a major bearing on the standings in both the women’s and men’s competitions.

In the women’s league, Parr Mela Rockets Futsal celebrated a historic moment as they registered their first-ever victory, coming from behind to beat St Andrews Futsal 3–1 after conceding an early goal. Zero Sei Futsal maintained their impressive form with a commanding 7–1 success over Swieqi United Futsal LECO7, extending their unbeaten run and mathematically booking their place in the playoffs. The league leaders now require just four more points to secure top spot.

The highlight of the week came in the most closely contested fixture, where St George’s Futsal edged Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus 3–2 in a crucial encounter. After St Andrews took the lead, two goals from Estefany Colmenarez swung the match in favour of the Bormla side, allowing St George’s to hold on to second place. The win also sealed St George’s qualification for the playoffs, while Luxol remain just one point away from confirming their spot.
