AS Roma strengthened their hold on a Champions League place after a commanding second-half performance secured a 3-0 home victory over Cremonese, extending the visitors’ winless Serie A streak to 12 matches (D4, L8).

Roma, who had won all four of their previous Serie A games this season against newly promoted sides, started brightly against the Grigiorossi. While early possession was dominated by the hosts, clear chances were scarce. Cremonese defender Sebastiano Luperto nearly scored an own goal with a close-range header that went narrowly wide.

After a cautious first 30 minutes, the Giallorossi intensified their attacks, with Gianluca Mancini hitting the bar from Bryan Zaragoza’s delivery. Despite probing repeatedly, Cremonese held firm, leaving the score goalless at halftime.

The second half saw Roma quickly assert control. Donyell Malen forced a smart save from Emil Audero at the near post, but the breakthrough came just before the hour mark. Lorenzo Pellegrini’s corner was expertly headed home by Bryan Cristante, giving Roma the lead.

The Giallorossi pressed on, and in the 77th minute, Evan Ndicka netted his first Serie A goal, converting Cristante’s flick from Neil El Aynaoui’s corner. Niccolò Pisilli added a late third with a precise first-time strike, sealing a comfortable win.

The victory moves Roma level on points with third-placed Napoli, while Cremonese remain three points above the relegation zone, having scored in only two of their last 12 league matches.
