Bukayo Saka is approaching the final 18 months of his current Arsenal contract, and the club is eager to secure his long-term future with a new deal.

A product of the Hale End academy, Saka has developed into one of Arsenal’s most influential players under Mikel Arteta, evolving from a promising teenager into one of the world’s top wingers. His current contract runs until 2027, meaning he is set to enter the final stretch of his deal — a stage that typically attracts interest from major clubs ahead of the January and summer transfer windows.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have made significant progress in discussions with the 24-year-old England international over fresh terms.

“Arsenal are progressing well in talks with Bukayo Saka and his camp over a new contract,” Romano reported. “Salary details are being discussed, but all parties involved are aligned and convinced to move forward together. Talks were already underway before the summer window and are proceeding well.”

If agreed, the new deal would make Saka not only one of Arsenal’s highest earners but also among the Premier League’s top-paid players.

Sporting director Edu Gaspar has been busy securing key renewals in recent months, with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly all committing their futures to the club.

Now, Saka looks set to follow suit. The Hale End graduate is reportedly eager to remain in North London for years to come, a move that would further solidify Arsenal’s long-term ambitions under Arteta.
