The Aquatic Sports Association (ASA) of Malta has announced its preliminary 23-man squad ahead of the European Aquatics Water Polo Men’s Championship 2026, scheduled to take place in Belgrade, Serbia, from January 10 to 25, 2026. Malta has qualified for the final tournament for the sixth consecutive time.

Tournament Outlook

Under the guidance of coach Milan Cirovic, Team Malta has been drawn into a challenging Group A for the group stage, where they will face powerhouses Hungary and Montenegro, as well as France. Malta previously beat Portugal in the qualification round to secure their spot in the final 16 teams. The team will continue intensive training in the lead-up to the championships.
