Strong showing for Malta on day 3 of the European Blackball Championships
The third day of action at the European Blackball Championships in Ennis, Ireland produced another series of positive results for Malta, with national teams delivering impressive performances across multiple categories.
In the morning session, the Malta U23 A side edged past England U23 1 in a thrilling contest, winning 13–12 after a tense finish. The Maltese youngsters displayed outstanding determination and focus to secure the victory.
The Malta U15 A team also registered a solid result, defeating England U15 A by 9–6, while the Malta Grand Masters A overcame Wales Grand Masters A by the narrowest of margins, 8–7, after another close encounter.
Later in the day, the Under-15s maintained their unbeaten run with a commanding 11–4 win over Scotland U15 A. The Under-23s followed up their morning success with a dominant 20–5 victory against Ireland U23 2, continuing their strong campaign in Ennis.
In the Seniors category, the Malta Seniors B team fought hard but were defeated 17–8 by a more experienced England Seniors B side.
