Record-Breaking Lamine Yamal Makes FIFPRO World 11, England Shine in Women’s Lineup

Lamine Yamal Becomes Youngest Ever FIFPRO World 11 Player as England and PSG Dominate Selections
Paris Saint-Germain and England were the standout clubs in this year’s FIFPRO World 11 awards, announced on Monday, with each featuring five players across the men’s and women’s teams.
More than 26,000 professional players cast their votes in the global players’ association poll. Among the headline names was Barcelona’s 18-year-old winger Lamine Yamal, who made history as the youngest player ever selected for the Men’s World 11. On the women’s side, England defender Lucy Bronze earned a record eighth inclusion in the team.
Fresh from their Champions League triumph, PSG had a strong presence in the men’s lineup. Gianluigi Donnarumma—who has since joined Manchester City—was named alongside teammates Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé.
England’s women continued their dominance after retaining their European title with a penalty shootout win over Spain in the Euro 2025 final. Goalkeeper Hannah Hampton was joined in the team by Lucy Bronze, Leah Williamson, Chloe Kelly, and Alessia Russo.
Several of England’s stars also shone at club level, with Kelly, Russo, and Williamson lifting the Champions League with Arsenal. Millie Bright, who retired from international football before the tournament, was also recognized with a place in the team.
In a historic milestone for African football, two players were named in the women’s World 11 for the first time. Zambia’s Barbra Banda earned her second selection, while Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak made her debut appearance.
