Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks edge Floriana Young Stars in five-goal thriller
Gree Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks registered a valuable 3–2 victory over Floriana Young Stars in the National Hockey Championship in a match played at the Hockey Complex in Kordin.
Żurrieq were always in front although the Floriana side kept chasing the game and continued trying until the very end.
Gary Bonnici scored a brace while Jayden Cutajar added another for Żurrieq. Deemer Rapinett scored twice for Floriana.
The umpires were Keith Calleja and Dario Cacopardo.
In the under-18 championship, Marsascala Heat beat Qormi 4-3.
In the Under-14 championship, Marsaskala Heat defeated De La Salle Young Stars B 10–2. Meanwhile, De La Salle Young Stars B drew 4–4 against Qormi Daikin.
