Żejtun Corinthians and Mellieħa both registered crucial victories in Friday night’s BOV Amateur League I double-header at the Centenary Stadium on 20th February 2026. 

Żejtun Corinthians 3-1 Senglea Athletic 

The Corinthians delivered a commanding performance to overcome Senglea Athletic. 

Adrian Carabott broke the deadlock for Żejtun just before the half-time whistle. The momentum stayed with the Corinthians after the restart, as Clyde Bouvet doubled the lead only three minutes into the second half. 

Senglea managed to pull one back through 

Steven Meilak in the 58th minute, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed in stoppage time when Fabrizio Zammit secured the 3-1 win with a 94th-minute strike.

Mellieħa 1-0 Luqa St. Andrew’s 

In a much tighter affair, Mellieħa earned a narrow victory over Luqa St. Andrew’s. The match appeared to be heading for a goalless draw until 

Alexander Akl found the net three minutes from time, handing Mellieħa all three points.
