Vinicius Junior missed Brazil’s training session on Saturday, casting doubt over his availability for Tuesday’s friendly against Croatia, with muscle fatigue cited as the reason for his absence.

According to ESPN, scans carried out on Brazil’s number 10 showed no signs of injury.

As a result, unlike Raphinha and Wesley, Vini Jr. has not been ruled out of the squad.

The Brazil national football team forward did not train with the group and instead completed individual exercises in the gym.

Brazil’s coaching staff remain hopeful that the Real Madrid star will be fit enough to rejoin full training on Sunday in Orlando.

If Vinícius Júnior is unavailable, he would add to Carlo Ancelotti’s list of absentees during the international break.

Brazil national football team have already been hit by several injuries, with Alisson Becker, Wesley França, Gabriel Magalhães, Alex Sandro and Raphinha all sidelined.

Tuesday’s clash with Croatia national football team in Orlando will mark Brazil’s final outing before the announcement of their World Cup squad.

The final squad is scheduled to be revealed on May 18.
