Two Blackball finals to decide first 2026 Nations Cup Qualifiers Tonight
The race for a place in the 2026 Nations Cup—set to take place in Gibraltar—heats up tonight, as two decisive Blackball Pool finals will be played to determine the first qualifiers from Malta.
In the Men’s Category, Miguel Amato will face Johan Attard in what promises to be a thrilling showdown. Amato earned his spot in the final with an impressive 9–3 victory over Clayton Castaldi, while Attard booked his place after edging past Clint Azzopardi in a tight 9–7 encounter.
Meanwhile, the Over-40s Final will see Jesmond Schembri take on Stephen Mangion. Schembri came through a hard-fought 9–7 win against Lee Grima, whereas Mangion cruised past Johan Grixti with a dominant 9–0 performance.
Both finals will be played this evening at the Juventus Club Vero Amore in Birkirkara, with matches scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
