Tottenham’s Kolo Muani and Odobert involved in minor car collision

Tottenham Hotspur forwards Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert were involved in a minor car accident on Tuesday, manager Thomas Frank confirmed, but both are expected to be available for Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The accident occurred as the players were en route to the airport with the squad. Frank said he did not have all the details but reassured that everyone involved was unharmed.
“It was a tyre blowing up, so the two of them are a little delayed, but they will land later tonight,” Frank told reporters. “I haven’t spoken to them personally yet, but the first message is that they are fine. I fully expect both to be available for tomorrow.”
Tottenham will, however, be without defenders Pedro Porro and Micky van de Ven. Porro has suffered a hamstring injury and is expected to be sidelined for four weeks, while van de Ven is out with a minor issue but could return for the Premier League clash with Manchester City.
Spurs’ injury concerns continue to mount, with James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Bergvall, Dejan Kulusevski, and Richarlison already unavailable.
European form has been a bright spot for Tottenham amid domestic struggles. They have lost just one of their last seven Champions League games, a 1-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, compared to just two wins in their last 14 Premier League matches.
“I think the performances have been good in many ways; we just haven’t gotten enough on the right side to earn the three points,” Frank said. “For me, tomorrow it’s all about Frankfurt and the opportunity ahead of us.”
Tottenham are fifth in their Champions League group on 14 points, already guaranteed a playoff spot, while a win would secure a top-eight finish. Frankfurt have already been eliminated.
