Swieqi United delivered a masterclass at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday, January 31, 2026, routing Mtarfa 8-0 in one of the most one-sided matches of the BOV Challenge League season. 

The Owls dominated from the outset, with Kian Leonardi opening the floodgates in the 24th minute before Emmanuel Asante doubled the advantage on the half-hour mark. The second half turned into a clinical display as Salam Kojo Mawuena netted twice (47′, 57′) and Leonardi added his second in the 59th minute. Mawuena completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute, followed by another Asante strike and a final goal from Nexille Grech in the 90th minute to seal the emphatic victory.

• Pieta’ Hotspurs 1-1 Gudja United: The two sides shared the points after Emmanuel Bio gave the Hotspurs an early lead (11′), which was eventually cancelled out by Joseph Chilaka Agbakwuru in the 70th minute.
