St Lawrence Spurs 2-2 Sannat Lions

League leaders St Lawrence Spurs FC were forced to settle for a point after a dramatic 94th-minute equaliser from Sannat Lions FC.

Sannat took an early lead through Tristan Grech in the 29th minute, holding that advantage well into the second half. The Spurs mounted a spirited comeback, with Charlon Farrugia levelling the score in the 67th minute before Joel Xuereb struck in the 73rd to turn the game on its head. Just as the Spurs seemed destined to take all three points, Kieran Calleja salvaged a draw for the Lions deep in stoppage time (90+4′). The match was officiated by Steve Baldacchino.

Gharb Rangers 4-3 Munxar Falcons

In the afternoon’s second fixture, Gharb Rangers FC secured a vital 4-3 victory over Munxar Falcons FC to move within a single point of the summit.

The Rangers opened the scoring in the 2nd minute via Oliver Cremona, but Ayesller Carvalho responded for Munxar in the 25th. Daniel Farrugia restored the Rangers’ lead before the break, only for Munxar to stage a stunning second-half turnaround with goals from Geordie Debono and Dylan Paul Rapa to lead 3-2. The Rangers showed incredible character late on; Steve Gauci equalised in the 78th minute, and Sintayehu Curmi netted the winner in the 88th minute to seal the points. Referee Patrick Falzon oversaw the encounter.
