The Phoenix Suns overcame the early loss of Devin Booker to hand the Los Angeles Lakers a 125–108 defeat on Monday, snapping L.A.’s seven-game winning streak in convincing fashion.

Booker departed in the first quarter due to injury, but his absence hardly slowed Phoenix’s offense. Dillon Brooks powered the Suns with 33 points, while Collin Gillespie poured in 28 points and knocked down eight shots from beyond the arc as Phoenix pulled away comfortably.

The Lakers were undone by a staggering 22 turnovers, which the Suns converted into 32 points. It was a night to forget for JJ Redick’s squad, which dropped to 15–5 and remains second in the Western Conference.

Luka Dončić topped the Lakers’ scoring with 38 points. Austin Reaves added 16 and DeAndre Ayton finished with 12, while LeBron James struggled to find rhythm, tallying just 10 points on 3-of-10 shooting.

Donovan Mitchell lit up the scoreboard with 43 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers rolled past the Indiana Pacers, 135–119, improving to 13–9 in the East. Cleveland seized control early with a dominant 37–25 first quarter and never looked back in a game they led comfortably throughout.

In Denver, the Dallas Mavericks produced one of the night’s biggest surprises, knocking off the Nuggets 131–121. Anthony Davis led the charge for Dallas with 32 points and 13 rebounds.

Nikola Jokić delivered a massive stat line—29 points, 20 rebounds and 13 assists—yet Denver failed to capitalize after jumping out to a 14-point lead in the opening period. The Mavericks roared back with a 42–27 second quarter, taking a one-point edge into halftime.

A tight second half broke open in the fourth quarter, where Dallas outscored Denver 29–17 to secure the upset. The win moves the Mavericks to 7–15, while the Nuggets fall to 14–6.

There was another upset in Utah, where the Jazz (7–13) toppled the Houston Rockets (13–5) in a 133–125 shootout.

The Detroit Pistons held onto first place in the Eastern Conference with a narrow 99–98 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. A tightly contested matchup featured 27 lead changes, but Detroit pulled through thanks to a late surge from Cade Cunningham, who scored eight of his 18 points in the final quarter.
