Sliema’s Mamadu Bah shines as Liberia defeat Namibia 3–1 in World Cup Qualifier

Liberia claimed an impressive 3–1 victory over Namibia in their latest 2026 World Cup qualifier, with Sliema Wanderers forward Mamadu Bah playing a starring role.
Bah, who has been in excellent form for his Maltese Premier League side, scored Liberia’s second goal in the ninth minute, doubling the Lone Stars’ early advantage and setting the tone for a dominant performance in Monrovia.

Liberia opened the scoring through striker Terry Sackor before Bah’s cool finish gave them a comfortable cushion. Namibia pulled one back midway through the first half, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Liberia added a third late in the game to seal all three points.
The 21-year-old Bah was praised for his pace, work rate, and composure in front of goal, earning him “Man of the Match” honors from local media. His performance continues to raise his profile both in Malta and internationally, as he becomes a key figure in Liberia’s qualification campaign.
Liberia now move up the standings in their World Cup qualifying group, while Bah returns to Sliema Wanderers full of confidence ahead of their next Premier League fixture.
