SK Victoria Wanderers 3–0 Oratory Youths

Referee: Joseph Scerri

SK Victoria Wanderers produced a composed and disciplined display to claim a 3–0 win over Oratory Youths, booking their spot in the semi-finals in style.

After a tightly contested first half, the Wanderers broke the deadlock on 60 minutes through Andre Lee Cutler, who finished clinically to put his side ahead.

As Oratory pushed forward in search of an equaliser, Neil Camilleri doubled the advantage in the 89th minute, effectively sealing the result. Deep into stoppage time, Sam Harland added a third goal (90+3’) to complete an emphatic victory and ensure SK Victoria’s progression.

Ghajnsielem 1–4 Xewkija Tigers

Referee: Daniel Casha

In the day’s second quarter-final, Xewkija Tigers delivered a dominant performance to defeat Ghajnsielem 4–1, with Brazilian striker Marcelo Junior Barbosa and forward Abou Toure both netting twice.

The Tigers made a blistering start, taking a 2–0 lead within the opening 13 minutes — Barbosa opened the scoring on 10 minutes, followed quickly by Toure’s strike three minutes later.

Barbosa struck again shortly after the restart (47’) to extend the advantage, before Toure made it 4–0 on 50 minutes, putting the result beyond doubt.

Ghajnsielem pulled one back through an own goal by Ian Xuereb in the 57th minute, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Naim Ibrahim Belhadj was sent off on 86 minutes.

The result sends Xewkija Tigers into the semi-finals as one of the competition’s clear favourites, while Ghajnsielem’s cup journey comes to an end.

Both SK Victoria Wanderers and Xewkija Tigers now await the outcome of the remaining quarter-finals to determine their semi-final opponents as the BOV GFA Cup 2025 moves into its decisive stages.
