Senglea Gunners moved to the top of the MAFA First Division standings after a significant 2–1 victory over Valletta St Paul’s. 

The team, coached by Glenn Vassallo, produced a dominant first-half display, with Glenn Bonello opening the scoring on his birthday in the 24th minute, and Ousman Jallow doubling the lead in the 37th minute. Although Ortega Zarate reduced the deficit for the Valletta side, the Gunners showed resilience to withstand pressure and secure the win. 

Senglea is now joint top with Għaxaq Wolves on 13 points, though they have played one match more. Paul Apap refereed the match.

Valletta Stars St Dominic returned to winning ways with a 2–1 victory over San Ġwann Pro Evolution Academy. Auwal Abba gave Valletta the lead after 15 minutes, but Nino Barrabe equalized a minute later. The decisive goal came from Federico Tejada Marine in the 25th minute. Jean Pierre Sammut served as the referee.

Second Division: Hamrun Stages Impressive Comeback

In the Second Division, Ħamrun Sporting produced an impressive comeback to secure a thrilling 4–4 draw against Swieqi United AFC. Hamrun trailed 4–1 at halftime but scored three goals after the break to earn a vital point. Junior Ohalewe scored twice for Hamrun, while goals from Julius Offorzor, Mohamed Amir, Kolathipara Mohandas, and Bruno Menezes had built Swieqi’s lead.

Gudja Wanderers slipped up, falling 1–0 to Birżebbuġa St Peter’s AFC, with the only goal coming from prolific scorer Oussama Boutayeb in the 66th minute.

Finally, Mqabba Albions registered their second win of the season with a 4–2 victory over St Paul’s Bay NMFC, thanks to a brace from Calvin Agius.
