Schade scores hat-trick as Brentford maintain impressive home form with win over Bournemouth

Brentford extended their unbeaten run against AFC Bournemouth to nine matches with a commanding 4-1 win at the Gtech Community Stadium, highlighted by a stunning hat-trick from Kevin Schade.
Bournemouth had the first glimpse of goal when Antoine Semenyo’s effort from the edge of the area was comfortably gathered by goalkeeper Caiomhin Kelleher. That would be as close as the visitors came in the first half, as Brentford soon took control of the contest.
After Keane Lewis-Potter fired wide from just outside the area, Brentford opened the scoring in the seventh minute. A precise through ball from Igor Thiago found Schade, who shrugged off Bafode Diakite and calmly slotted past Djordje Petrovic. It was Schade’s fourth goal of the season and his first opener since September’s draw with Chelsea.
The home side continued to press, with Thiago and Kristoffer Ajer both going close. Thiago’s shot was blocked, while Ajer’s glancing header from a free-kick went just wide of the post. Schade had two further attempts saved or blocked, but Brentford’s dominance paid off again six minutes before halftime.
Thiago’s shot was deflected off Petrovic and, after Diakite’s attempted clearance ricocheted off the goalkeeper, the ball crossed the line, giving Brentford a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola responded with three attacking substitutions at halftime, bringing on Evanilson, Justin Kluivert, and David Brooks to spark a comeback.
However, Brentford struck again just six minutes into the second half. A swift counter-attack saw Yegor Yarmolyuk feed Schade, who clinically finished from inside the area to claim his second goal of the match.
Bournemouth did grow into the game afterward, controlling possession and creating chances. Evanilson was denied by an excellent save from Kelleher, and Semenyo gave the visitors a lifeline with a clever backheeled finish in the 75th minute.
Yet any hopes of a comeback were extinguished in stoppage time when Schade completed his hat-trick, heading in from close range to secure the 4-1 victory and the match ball.
The result leaves Bournemouth winless in their last nine Premier League matches, staying 15th in the table but eight points clear of the relegation zone. Brentford, meanwhile, celebrate back-to-back league victories, climbing three places to ninth and fueling hopes of a strong finish – and potentially even European ambitions – in 2026.
