Rizzo knocked out in Last 16 at Junior World Snooker Championship

Xavier Rizzo’s run at the World Snooker Federation (WSF) Junior World Snooker Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria, came to an end after he was eliminated in the last-16 stage.
Rizzo faced a tough challenge against one of the tournament’s standout performers, 16-year-old Thai player Prin Ratmukda. The Maltese youngster managed to level the match at 1–1 by winning the second frame, but Ratmukda then took full control, claiming the next three frames in succession to seal a 4–1 victory.
The frame scores were: 24–68, 66–32, 1–79 (71), 31–76, 7–58 (53).
Ratmukda has so far dropped only one frame in the entire competition — the one he conceded to Rizzo.
Rizzo will now remain in Sofia ahead of the Men’s World Snooker Championship, which begins once the Junior and Women’s events conclude. More Maltese players are expected to travel to Bulgaria in the coming days to take part in the men’s tournament.
