Qormi Daikin one point away from confirming championship title
Qormi Daikin are just one point away from being crowned local hockey champions after defeating Floriana Young Stars 5–0.
The side led by Andre Ghio dominated proceedings from start to finish, securing maximum points from the encounter and moving very close to clinching the title.
Young player Giorgio Muscat scored a brace, while Steve Tanti, Luke Bajada, and Keith Bajada added the other goals for their team.
Next Sunday, Qormi will face GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks. They are then set to play Floriana once again, as well as White Hart.
Meanwhile, the current National Hockey Championship standings see Qormi Daikin at the top with 12 points, followed by GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks on seven points, Floriana Young Stars with five, and White Hart still searching for their first point.
