Ħamrun 147 Complete Blackball Treble with National Easter Trophy Triumph

Ħamrun 147 capped off a remarkable run in the Blackball Easter competitions by securing a treble, clinching the National Easter Trophy with a hard-fought 13–11 victory over Cospicua Rangers.
This latest success completes a clean sweep for the club, following earlier wins by their Team B in the Regional Easter Trophy and Team D in the Community Easter Trophy.
The final brought together two of the country’s top Blackball sides and delivered a thrilling contest. Cospicua Rangers got off to a flying start, racing into a 5–1 lead. However, Ħamrun responded with determination, pulling level at 5–5 before the interval. The match remained finely balanced throughout, with the lead changing hands multiple times.
Locked at 10–10, the encounter required additional sessions to decide the outcome. Ħamrun held their nerve in the निर्णative stages, securing the crucial frames needed to seal the victory.
The match was officiated by referee Ephraim Calleja.
Ħamrun 147 were represented by Leon Azzopardi, Dejan Grech, Owen Amato, Philip Coleiro and Stephen Mangion, with Clayton Castaldi serving as coach.
Cospicua Rangers featured coach Johan Attard alongside Clint Grima, Kevin Schembri, Clayton Attard, Ryan Pisani, Warren Falzon, Wayne Pace, Miguel Amato, Scott Muscat and Gary Carr.
Celebrations followed for Ħamrun’s players, officials and supporters, culminating in captain Clayton Castaldi lifting the trophy after receiving it from a representative of the Malta Blackball Federation.
