Premier League clubs monitoring Wolves striker Jørgen Strand Larsen

Expectations are growing that Jørgen Strand Larsen could be on the move this month, with Wolverhampton Wanderers increasingly open to cashing in on the Norwegian striker amid rising interest from Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.
The 25-year-old underlined his value on Wednesday night against Everton, coming off the bench to provide the assist for Mateus Mané in Wolves’ 1–1 draw. It served as a timely reminder of his influence, even as the club continues to battle relegation.
West Ham were the first to make enquiries when the January transfer window opened, but their interest cooled after they failed to meet Wolves’ valuation. Since then, it has become clear that the Midlands club would be prepared to sanction a sale, with a fee in the region of £40 million expected to be enough to strike a deal — a figure unlikely to deter suitors.
Forest are actively exploring attacking reinforcements this month, while Crystal Palace and Everton are also understood to be closely monitoring the situation.
However, the most intriguing interest comes from Newcastle United. The Magpies made two unsuccessful attempts to sign Strand Larsen last summer, lodging bids of £50 million and £55 million that were rejected. Sources indicate the opportunity to land the striker at a reduced price has reignited Newcastle’s interest, despite their recent additions of Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade.
Newcastle are preparing to allow William Osula to depart and have long been open to adding another proven goalscorer. Strand Larsen’s profile fits well with Eddie Howe’s tactical preferences, offering the ability to both lead the line and link play effectively.
Sources insist that any renewed pursuit of Strand Larsen would not reflect negatively on Wissa or Woltemade, both of whom remain central to Newcastle’s long-term plans.
Since arriving in the Premier League, Strand Larsen has recorded 15 goals and five assists in 54 appearances — a return that continues to attract attention across the division.
With several clubs circling, movement on his future is expected within the next week, setting the stage for a potential January transfer battle.
