Arnaud Kalimuendo has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan with an option to buy until the end of the season, after a frustrating five months with limited action at Nottingham Forest.

The 23-year-old striker has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League, featuring in just nine league games since joining Forest last summer. He has, however, scored twice in the Europa League for the club.

At Eintracht Frankfurt, currently seventh in the Bundesliga, Kalimuendo will have the chance to compete for European qualification spots. The club, based on the banks of the River Main, has a strong track record of nurturing young French forwards in recent years, including Hugo Ekitike and Randal Kolo Muani.

Kalimuendo steps in for fellow French striker Elye Wahi, who was loaned to Nice earlier this season, offering Frankfurt fresh firepower in attack.
