Pedri ruled out for a month after hamstring setback

Barcelona have confirmed that midfielder Pedri will be sidelined for around a month after suffering a hamstring injury. The Spanish champions announced the news on Thursday.
The 23-year-old picked up the injury during the second half of Barcelona’s 4–2 Champions League victory away to Slavia Prague on Wednesday, forcing him to leave the pitch.
In a statement, the club said: “Tests carried out this morning have confirmed that first-team player Pedri has suffered a muscular injury to his right hamstring. The expected recovery time is one month.”
As a result, the Spain international will miss Barcelona’s final European league-phase match against Copenhagen next week, along with LaLiga fixtures against Real Oviedo, Elche, Girona and Mallorca.
If Barcelona progress past second-tier Albacete in the Copa del Rey on February 3, Pedri would also be unavailable for the first leg of the semi-final tie the following week.
