Nottingham Forest have appointed former Wolverhampton manager Vitor Pereira as their new head coach

Nottingham Forest have appointed former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira as their new head coach on an 18-month contract.
Pereira becomes Forest’s fourth manager of the season, replacing Sean Dyche, who was dismissed on Thursday after just 114 days in charge.
The Portuguese coach had taken over Wolves in December 2024, guiding them to Premier League survival last season, but was sacked in November following a poor start to the current campaign.
He inherits a Forest squad currently three points above the relegation zone with 12 matches remaining, following a 0-0 home draw against bottom-placed Wolves.
Pereira is no stranger to Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, having previously worked under him during a five-month spell at Olympiacos in 2015.
Dyche, who took over from former Ange Postecoglou, won six of 18 league games. Postecoglou, in turn, had replaced Nuno Espirito Santo, who was dismissed after just three league matches due to disagreements with Marinakis over transfer activity.
Forest, already eliminated from the FA Cup, have a short break before their next fixture, traveling to Fenerbahce next Thursday for the first leg of their Europa League knockout play-off, before returning to the City Ground to host sixth-placed Liverpool in the Premier League.
