Netherlands to face Algeria in Rotterdam ahead of World Cup
The Netherlands national football team will face Algeria national football team in a World Cup warm-up match in Rotterdam, the Dutch football association confirmed on Monday.
Scheduled for June 3rd, the friendly will serve as the Netherlands’ farewell game before they travel to the United States, where they are expected to play an additional preparation match ahead of their Group F opener against Japan national football team in Dallas on June 14th.
Algeria will compete in Group J alongside Argentina national football team, Austria national football team, and Jordan national football team.
The Netherlands also face another North African opponent, Tunisia national football team, in Kansas City on June 25th.
Ahead of their World Cup campaign, the Dutch side will play two friendlies this month: against Norway national football team in Amsterdam and Ecuador national football team in Eindhoven.
