FC Midtjylland could be without key players Phillip Billing and Junior Brumado for the remainder of the season, according to head coach Mike Tullberg in an interview with Viaplay.

Midtjylland have recently been forced to cope without Billing, who is dealing with Achilles tendon issues. The 29-year-old midfielder is not expected to return in the coming weeks, Tullberg confirmed.

Brumado is also currently sidelined due to injury and was absent from the team’s most recent match against Sønderjyske Fodbold.

“There is a real possibility that they could miss the rest of the season,” Tullberg said. “I’m not a doctor or a physiotherapist, but as long as we haven’t made any official announcements, it means they’re not available.”

“We’ll see if our medical staff can work a miracle, but at the moment it doesn’t look like they will be back soon,” the head coach added.

With seven matches remaining in the Danish Superliga, Midtjylland currently sit seven points behind league leaders AGF, making the potential absence of two important attacking players a significant setback in their title challenge.
