Manchester United monitoring Aurelien Tchouameni situation at Real Madrid

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the situation involving Aurelien Tchouameni after the Real Madrid midfielder became involved in a heated training-ground incident that has intensified speculation over his future at the club.
The Premier League side are said to have been tracking Tchouameni ahead of the upcoming transfer window and are now assessing whether the recent controversy could create an opportunity to pursue a deal. The situation escalated following a clash with teammate Federico Valverde during training.
Reports claim the confrontation became physical, with Valverde later requiring hospital treatment after sustaining a blow to the head. The incident has further fuelled uncertainty surrounding Tchouameni’s long-term place at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, where questions over the club’s midfield plans had already been growing.
Real Madrid are understood to be handling the matter privately. Both players have reportedly spoken following the altercation, while the club has issued financial penalties of €500,000 to each player. At this stage, no football-related suspensions or disciplinary actions are expected.
The timing could hardly be worse for Real Madrid, who head into a crucial clash with FC Barcelona today in one of the defining matches of their season. A victory is essential to prevent Barcelona from clinching the league title.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are planning a major midfield overhaul this summer and are expected to bring in at least two central midfielders. Securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League would significantly boost their chances of attracting top-level targets.
Aurelien Tchouameni remains highly rated at Old Trafford due to his technical quality, physical presence, and ability to control games from midfield. The 26-year-old is also believed to have been open in the past to a potential move to England later in his career.
At present, sources suggest the recent altercation with teammate Federico Valverde does not automatically place Tchouameni on the transfer list. While some believe the situation could develop further over the summer, Real Madrid’s stance is that the incident alone is not enough to sanction a sale.
The club are expected to revisit internal decisions once a new manager is appointed. Former boss Jose Mourinho is currently viewed as a leading candidate to take charge ahead of next season.
