Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch to undergo fitness assessment after injury on Netherlands duty

Liverpool have been handed a potential injury concern after midfielder Ryan Gravenberch felt discomfort while on international duty with the Netherlands.
The 23-year-old has been one of Liverpool’s standout performers this season, playing a key role in their title defence, which has recently suffered a dip in momentum.
Gravenberch was included in Ronald Koeman’s squad for the Netherlands’ World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Finland this month. However, he was withdrawn at half-time during the 4–0 win over Finland, with Koeman later clarifying that the substitution was a precaution rather than due to a serious injury.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool’s medical staff will now assess the midfielder upon his return to Merseyside to determine the extent of the issue. There remains a possibility that Gravenberch could face a short spell on the sidelines depending on the results of those checks.
Liverpool return to Premier League action after the international break with a high-profile clash against Manchester United, and the club will be hoping Gravenberch is fit in time to feature.
