Kylian Mbappé has confirmed he is fully fit again after recovering from a knee injury, stating his intention to feature in all of Real Madrid’s remaining matches this season as he prepares for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

The 27-year-old forward was sidelined for four league games in 2026 due to a persistent knee problem carried over from last season. However, he made his return on Sunday, coming off the bench in the 64th minute during Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Atlético Madrid.

Mbappé has also been included in France national football team’s squad for upcoming friendlies against Brazil national football team on March 26 and Colombia national football team three days later in the United States, one of the co-hosts of this summer’s World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico.

“I have made a 100% recovery,” Mbappé said in an interview with AS.

“I approached the last two World Cups with the same mindset — playing regularly, scoring goals, winning trophies, and giving everything for my club until the very end,” Kylian Mbappé said. “This year will be no different as I aim to arrive in peak condition.”

France national football team have been drawn in Group I for the FIFA World Cup, where they will face Norway national football team, Senegal national football team, and the winner of an intercontinental play-off.
