Kercem Ajax produced a dominant display at the Gozo Stadium on Friday evening to sweep aside Xagħra United 5–0 in Matchday 10 of the GFA BOV Gozo Football League First Division.

The league leaders wasted no time in taking control of the match, opening the scoring on eight minutes through Mateus Fernandes De Souza Lima. Kercem doubled their advantage soon after when Andre Gabriel Castro Martins found the net on 16 minutes, before Isaias Moura Vera Cruz De Souza added a third just two minutes later to leave Xagħra facing an uphill battle.

Kercem continued from where they left off after the break, with Castro Martins striking again in the 46th minute to make it 4–0. The Brazilian forward completed an excellent hat-trick on 76 minutes, rounding off an emphatic victory for the Ajax side.

The match was officiated by referee Raiden Psaila.

The result further consolidates Kercem Ajax’s position at the top of the standings, as they moved on to 20 points from nine matches. Xagħra United, meanwhile, remain bottom with just three points from nine outings.
