Għaxaq Wolves continued their impressive form in the MAFA First Division, securing their fourth straight victory with a hard-fought 2–1 win over Senglea Gunners at the Marsaxlokk Ground. Although the reigning champions started brightly, they were made to work for the three points by a disciplined and resilient Senglea side.

The Wolves struck early when Bojan Kaljevic opened the scoring after just six minutes, giving his team a narrow lead at the interval. The match came alive in the closing stages of the second half as Joshua Gaku levelled for Senglea, raising the tension as the final whistle approached. But Kaljevic had the final say, netting a dramatic last-minute winner to keep Għaxaq’s perfect run intact. Paul Apap officiated the match.

In another First Division encounter, a well-taken penalty by Robert Veskimae early in the second half earned St Julian’s Saints a 1–0 victory over Valletta Stars, marking their second win in a row. The Saints kept their opponents at bay with disciplined defending, denying Valletta any clear route to goal. The win lifts St Julian’s into second place as their momentum continues to build. Second Division Round-Up

Swieqi United AFC, the current Second Division leaders, were forced to settle for a 2–2 draw after letting a two-goal lead slip against St Paul’s Bay. Swieqi appeared to be in control thanks to goals from Julius Ifeanyi (17’) and Enzo Santos Soabes (43’). However, St Paul’s Bay mounted a determined comeback, with Limbu Sonu Hang pulling one back in the 53rd minute before Paras Karki struck deep into stoppage time to snatch a deserved point. Gjorgji Bitri refereed the match.

Gudja Wanderers returned to winning ways with a 3–1 triumph over Mqabba Albions. Despite falling behind to an early goal from Calvin Agius, Gudja produced an excellent second-half display. A brace from Johan Kelvin Lugo Alvarez and a goal from Luilly Rivera Maldonado completed the turnaround. Ray Tabone officiated.

Meanwhile, Birżebbuġa extended their positive run with a 3–0 victory against Naxxar Victorians. After a goalless first half, the southern side stepped up their intensity in the second period. Ousama Boutayeb (51’), Titi Dumitru (59’), and Jeremy Grixti (69’) all found the net to secure the points. Karl Stefan Galea refereed the encounter.
