Juventus confirm Vlahović facing extended absence with major thigh injury

Juventus have confirmed that striker Dušan Vlahović will be out of action after sustaining a significant thigh injury, the club announced on Monday.
The Serbian forward was forced to leave the pitch just 30 minutes into Saturday’s 2–1 victory over Cagliari. According to Juventus, subsequent radiological tests conducted on Monday revealed “a high-grade injury to the muscle–tendon junction of the left adductor longus.” The club added that further medical evaluations will determine the best course of treatment.
Vlahović had been finding form prior to the setback, registering two goals and an assist across his last six outings. Juventus, currently seventh in Serie A and unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions, continue their push to close the five-point gap on leaders Inter Milan.
The Bianconeri return to action on Tuesday when they host Udinese in the Coppa Italia, followed by a crucial league encounter against second-placed Napoli on Sunday.
